So we’ve realized that our WordPress has had some traffic since last year! Since this isn’t the busiest of sites of ours, feel free to check out our YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook: all @twistedmeasure,

To catch everyone up on the whirlwind of a year we had since our last post, Twisted Measure has received countless acts of love and support. Last year, spring semester, we had the opportunity to start recording our next album in the studio with Liquid 5th. And we released our first single, Chandelier, by Sia. Soon after that, our creative Prez, TyMeach, shared our single on Buzzfeed (and just in case you missed it..) went viral!

During this period of pumping hearts, loud excitement, and constant support from strangers all over the entire world, as a group, we had to collectively take a deep breath. Because of all you guys, we revisited why TM is TM and why we do what we do, and all in all, I truly think that brought us together and made us realize that through the BEST and even the worst, we are Barefoot and Beautiful (I’m so corny, ugh)

Thank you for iTunes top 40, thank you for Spotify viral #1, thank you for various media publicity and earning us a spot in People’s magazine, but most of all, thank you for letting the world see what Twisted Measure is, not just a group of people who love to sing, but a family of inspiring soles.

Aside from still being really happy about that moment, we’ve gotten awesome opportunities like opening for the Vanderbilt Melodores, Fall Concert 2k15, other awesome gigs, and most importantly NEW KIDS! NEW KIDS! We took in 6 beautiful humans in the fall who still to this day surprise us with their unending talents.

We’ve been pretty lucky to be surrounded by each other, our amazing advisor, the aca-community at Elon, the alum, our families, and our fans.

Love & Thanks,

TM4L ❤

Hey there, welcome back! It’s a new year, but we’re still rockin’ our socks off (horrible pun, but pretty accurate).

2015 has been treating us pretty great so far. It was awesome to perform again at Vital Sign’s Make-A-Wish benefit concert! We also had the pleasure to debut some new songs at Acappallooza: Woodstock! (Alum came back! We love you guys and you love us– that’s always the best!)

If anyone is wondering, yes, April Madness has officially started! But what better way to spend one of the last months of school with your family? And yes, the days feel longer, but who’s complaining? We get to sing for HOURS. Along with the many gigs we’ve been collecting left and right, concert week is creeping up on us. In between everything that has to be turned in for graduation (seniors, PLEASE PLEASE don’t hand them in. Just don’t leave, ok?) and all the last minute projects the teachers love to give, we gladly give up our free time to perform. Our latest gigs were singing at the presidents house (as seen pictured below) and enjoying the serenity (and lets be honest, the acoustics) of the Numen Lumen. We have tons more acts to be apart of and to show off our outgoing spirits.

And let’s not forget SPRING CONCERT APRIL 25TH! We know there’s a song or two in our set that you’ll be dancing to. Got some Uptown FunkDon’t Let Me Fall, JoJo throwback, and tunes like Work Song & Chandelier, plus many many more!

Last but certainly not least, our exec board has been going pretty strong for awhile. In the recent past, our former exec board has been able to shape Twisted Measure into what we are today. The dedication and time they have put into an a cappella group would blow your mind, but everything is really going great and we couldn’t be more thankful as a TeaM to have them. That also includes a big shout out to our newly appointed exec which was well deserved! No limit on what they can do. Congratulations everyone!

Thanks for sticking around to hear what we’ve been up to. Can’t wait to continue sharing our journey with you all!

Lots of love,
Your PR Chair, Lea,
and I won’t have this title for long, so I’ll share it with pride: A New Kid!

Twisted Measure’s 15th Anniversary

Okay, this is probably the biggest news of all. This semester officially marks the 15th anniversary of Twisted Measure, and we plan on going all out at our spring concert. We’re so excited for our concert and the chance to see all of our alumni. Better yet? We have a new album coming out that we can’t wait to tell you more about.

This is an awesome semester for TM and we’re so excited to share it with you all!

Twisted Measure will be hosting ACA-BOOK DRIVE this SATURDAY, October 26th! Admission is free with the donation of one (or more!) books. We’ll be performing with Elon groups Rip_Chord, Vital Signs, and Smooth Progressions, and with three guest groups: NC State’s Wolfgang and Acappology and Davidson’s The Nuances!

We’re so excited about this and hope to see you there!

In other news…

So Fall Break 2013 happened and we had a blast. We went on tour throughout Virginia/DC/Maryland. Here are just a few highlights:

We started off in Richmond as the opening act for a cappella competition Richmond Rhythm at VCU! We weren’t allowed to compete as we weren’t actually from Virginia, but we’re pretty sure we at least took the prize for most attractive group.

We headed to DC for an awesome lunch at Jake’s American Grill with our alumni! It was so good seeing all of those fantastic people.

After that, it was TwistedPanda time. We joined our sister group from University of Maryland, PandemoniUM in College Park to open up for their Mid-Semester Show.

Sunday/Monday brought us a super relaxing retreat near the Chesapeake Bay. Seriously, it was beautiful.

And that was our whirlwind fall break! Here’s to a great rest of the year and many more amazing fall break adventures to come!
